The outdoors got polite. We didn't.
Somewhere along the way the outdoors turned into pastel fleeces and $800 jackets worn to get a latte. CHAR is the hub for the active ones who still go out and get sweaty, salty, cold and loud. A community, not a country club. Rebels welcome.
No initiation fee. No dress code. No quiet mindfulness retreat. Just people who'd rather be on a wall, a trail, a boat or a mountain, and who'd rather do it together.
The crews
Every crew is led by the people who show up. Pick one, then try them all.
The sailing crew. Social sails, race days and dock hangs on the Bay, with good boards after. Membership lives here.
Visit CharYCGym sessions, bouldering days and crag trips. Chalk up, send it, and spot each other.
Lead the ClimbersHeadlamp runs, ridge lines and the long way home. Every pace, nobody left behind.
Lead the Trail RunnersTahoe carpools, first chair, last run. Skiers and boarders both. Tailgate after.

You lead the vibe. We bring the brand, the crowd and the gear.
Each crew has 1–5 ambassadors who pick the spots and set the pace. We handle the chat, the RSVPs, the patches and the merch. Apply with the button on your crew above.
You: one low-key meetup a month and a few raw phone clips.
You get: free gear, the ambassador-only patch, and tips from your crew.
You: one bigger event a month and your crew's chat.
You get: co-branded gear, first pick of every drop, and a spotlight on our channels.

Patches
Every crew has its own patch, and the only way to get one is to show up to that crew's events. Collect them, trade doubles, and sew them on. Your jacket becomes the map of everywhere you've been.

Small runs, built to get wrecked. When a drop is gone, it's gone.
The Hub
The Hub hears first: new crews, events, and the code to every drop before it opens to anyone else. Free. One text before each drop, not a spam cannon.

Is there a membership?
Not for CHAR. Joining the Hub is free. The sailing crew, Charcuterie Yacht Club, has its own membership because it's a real yacht club.
I'm new to all of this. Can I come?
Yes. Every crew runs beginner-friendly events. Show up, say hi, and someone will show you the ropes, the holds or the trail.
How do I get a patch?
Go to a crew's event. Patches are handed out in person, never sold.
